the apartment and such has been pretty good so far, i've only been here a week or so, but things are coming together, slowly at least...it's a bit difficult to really decorate when the third roomie (meg - tamilio -  not tess anymore)  hasn't moved in yet. but no rush, at least audrey and i are somewhat settled in so far. mike (bergman) is living with us until early july, thank god for him cause he fixed a bunch of things in our apartment already. abby happens to live on the first floor, which is great cause she's really sweet and we have mutual friends. we were roommates at orientation way back when and she happened to meet audrey back then, too. i was holding onto a package for her, so when abby came back to oneonta for the night she came by, and was telling us about how the whole house (3 apartments of 3 girls) should have a houes party. that would be some fun times.

my 21st birthday is soon..wooo. i'm not making this huge big deal out of it, really. but at least with audrey and i being 21 and meg being 23 we can go to places other than the usual parties.

mike (roberts) 's 23rd birthday was this past weekend; i got him a $50 gift card to apple. (SHH DONT TELL HIM). a while back i asked him what he wanted, and he sent me links to a mouse and then a keyboard on the apple site, both were $49. he thinks i'm getting him a shirt or whatever though, cause i kept asking questions about that. instead, i got him a giftcard. he's visiting for the weeked on friday so he'll get it then :D

he's also planning on getting a half sleeve, where the wild things are style. i never really pictured mike with a half sleeve but the where the wild things are part is definitely mikeish. he'll probably start getting it in the fall, especially if  he ends up getting a job at the place he interns now (a record label/graphic design company in albany). he loves his internship, thankfully; he might even be designing their new website. so i'm glad things have been working out well for him.

my internship at the ymca hasn't officially started, but i went in to observe last week and had a training session/meeting today. the 3-5 year olds are so cute. i'll also probably be working when events go on, so it'll be nice for a little cash. i'm working on painting and making jewelry, meanwhile.

oneonta is very quiet when the college kids aren't here. having a college in a town makes such a huge difference. it's interesting, haha.

it's been a productive day so far. went to the gym, listed some clothes/shoes on ebay because i have way too many things, painted a little, downloaded a ton of new music. camera obscura = <3!

i need to find better ring bases soon so i can make some rings for limette. and by better, i just mean ring bases that have bigger pads to glue things onto, or are wider/thicker. i stopped making rings a while ago cause the ring bases i have have tinyyy pads on them so even though the glue was really strong, whatever i glued onto it tended to be bigger, and would hit against things then get knocked off. i'll get some new ones soon, hopefully....one of the new necklaces i'm adding to the site soon...

i got a bunch of cute litle stone owls from a street fair in manhattan on broadway. i only got 4...i really wish i had gotten a lot more.

Semester's officially over and it's SUMMER TIME. Although, it won't really be like most summers, because I'll be in Oneonta for most of it....The past few weeks (end of the semester) in a nutshell, since the last time I actually updated  -

- OH Fest weekend (end of April) was a hectic but fun one. Festival on Main St., BBQ at Mike's, The Ataris and Eve 6 at the park. The Ataris' set was nostalgic, and Eve 6 took forever to get on, so they weren't done until past 11pm. Before their set was over, Mike, Jake, Becca and I decided to leave and got ice cream at Stewart's. Then the following night Dinner and a Movie had a show, so we went to that then had yet another bbq.

- Then the next day we went to Albany/Crossgates, I attempted to go shopping for some summer clothes - mainly shorts - but wasn't too successful...It annoys me how a guy's pair of shorts - about 2-3x the length of a girl's pair of shorts - is usually the same price or cheaper. Does not make sense at all. Anyway, afterwards we went to Bomber's in Albany for Tim's birhday and I ate a gigantic burrito and was full until forever.

- Last weekend in Oneonta consisted of shows and outings and future apartment visiting and a trip to Albany, but really should have been filled with studying for my Biochem final...oopssss. Last show of the semester was at The Armory; The Knockdown, Anchors Up, DAAM and such, it was a good time. I'd post polaroids from that night but I still have yet to scan them in.

- Thennn we went to Albany/Tulip Festival that Sunday. TONNSSS of people. Third Eye Blind was playing...I'm not too familiar with their music, but it was free and I figured I'd go for the trip.

- Finally went to Brook's, with Mike and his parents.

- Finals weren't that bad. The only really tough one was of course, Biochemistry. Staying up until 4am when my final was at 8am didn't really help, but I'm just glad it's alllll over with.

- Graduation was yesterday, I wish I could have gone.

- Mike is in Florida right now, and will soon be going on a cruise to a bunch of different places, until Saturday I believe.

-  I met up with Heidi at the YMCA before I left for the summer; I'm pretty excited to be interning there (for my Health&Wellness minor) - the kids are cute, I'm going to working mainly with 3-5 year olds. I'll also be working there if I choose to, since they always need substitutes for fitness room attendants and what not. So even after I finish my 120 internship hours, they'll still let me work there and I'll be on the payroll, and I can choose to do so even into the Fall ... sweeeeeeeet.

- Which means i'm going back to Oneonta within a month! I can't wait to decorate the apartment. Mike (Bergman) will be living with us for a month since Tess won't be there, but she's moving in come August. Audrey will be in Oneonta as well so that will be a good time for sure.
